Ay nko, ano ang Hai(na)ku?

since we just had midterm week, i've been stuck in a dryyyy routine. i haven't had the chance to just sit down, chill, and think outside the box. my minds been running on an imaginary calendar which in turn, blocks the rest of my mind from letting my creative juices flow.

so Thursday's art collective couldn't have come at a better time.

last week, Jana and CDR brought back Jon's Kabuhayan Arts, which is basically an art collective held once a week for a few minutes created to free our minds through writing.

to get us started, they had us do some Hai(na)ku's - a filipino form of Haiku's 'cept instead of the 5, 7, 5 format, it's a 1, 2, 3 word(s) format. in doing so, we were given a good few minutes to write whatever what was on our minds using that form.

here's just some examples of what we came up with (the blue and lime green writing's mine, the red's Jana's, & the brown's CDR's):

everyone pretty much had a good grasp on these Hai(na)ku's. everyone touched upon everything random to anything relatable. some were sappy, some were silly, some were deep, and some sounded like song lyrics. everyone pretty much left a piece of who they were and how they were feeling all on that board.

it was definitely therapeutic.
